Plant description and design intent
The existing boiler room has been fully replaced. The new installation comes complete with new boiler flue to safely convey exhaust flue gases into the atmosphere.
As part of the new boiler installation, modifications have been made to the pipework. These allow the connection of the new boiler plant.
A new pressurisation unit has been installed to replace the existing aging unit. This comes complete with a new expansion vessel and associated safety valves.
A new heating system circulator replaces the existing aging unit.
It was also necessary to upgrade the boiler room ventilation system. Again, the existing equipment was fairly dated.
New high and low level ventilation and associated ductwork systems have been installed.
The existing gas distribution system has been modified to allow connection to the new gas fired boiler plant. Minor modifications have been undertaken.
Existing gas meters and safety equipment remains unchanged and as per the existing installation.
